Bonus! - Passengers
It’s been a while since the show has tackled a love story as epic and inspirational as that of J-Law and C-Pratt in the holiday delight PASSENGERS. In this bonus episode, Alex and Julio are joined by first time guest Jordan Manse in order to unpack the twists and turns in this space adventure from the same guy who wrote PROMETHEUS! (not Lindelof, the one you didn’t hear about) How many genres can you jam-pack in one single film? How great does your movie have to be to warrant a 5-second cameo from Andy Garcia? And wouldn’t you forgive anything from someone who looks like Starlord, even if you looked like Katniss?

PLUGS!
- Julio didn’t think THE GOLD RUSH was as good as other Chaplin movies he’s seen, but still very much worth watching.
- Jordan can be reached at @jordanmanse if you want to give him a hard time about Passengers or offer financial aid for his late college years.
- Hans Rothgiesser, the man behind our logo, can be reached at @mildemonios on Twitter or you can email him at mildemonios@hotmail.com in case you ever need a logo (or comics) produced. And you can listen to him talk about Peruvian politics on his own podcast, NACION COMBI. Aaaaand you can also check out all the stuff he’s written on his own website. Don’t know Spanish? He also did a podcast in English called LIVING IN PERU, about immigrants in - where else - Perú.
Up next, our ninth Gray Area episode, due to some rescheduling, won’t be the crossover with our friends from The IMDB Journey (don’t worry, it’s still happening as a bonus eppy) but instead we’ll go back to the divisive late 90s with NEVER BEEN KISSED, a true Drew Barrymore vehicle. Until then, let us know how you feel about PASSENGERS. Would you forgive Chris Pratt? What’s your favorite Andy Garcia theory? Would you buy J-Law’s book?
